First Visit
When bringing your pet in for a checkup, remember that it may be a little uneasy about new people and animals. This is one of the reasons we ask that you restrain your pet before coming into the clinic.
We suggest animals be placed on a leash, in a pet carrier or held in your arms before entering the waiting room. Your pet and others in the waiting area will appreciate the extra care. If you think your pet has a contagious disease, you should call us first with details - we may request your pet wait outside for a short time. Please bring any medical records provided for a new pet or from another veterinarian.
Emergency Service
Emergency service is available on a 24-hour basis. We will make every effort to respond quickly to your call for help. Please call the office at 850-932-6085 and you will be given the name and beeper number of the doctor on call. Our backup emergency service is the Veterinary Emergency Referral Center at 850-477-3914.
Medications
The wrong medications at the wrong time can be very detrimental to your pet's health. Always follow the directions on your pet's medication precisely and do not save them for future use. Never give your pet human pain killers or other human medication - they can be deadly. Use only medicine that has been prescribed by a veterinarian and keep all medications out of the reach of children and pets.
Hospitalizations/Visits
For safety of all hospitalized pets in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date.
Visits are permitted, although a constant flow of people tends to excite all pets in the ward, sometimes impeding healing and recovery. All pets are discharged during normal business hours Monday through Saturday.

For your convenience, and your pet's health and happiness, our clinic offers a selection of the following professional pet food and supplies:

Boarding Facilities
We are pleased to offer newly constructed boarding facilities. Our kennel is clean, climate-controlled, and we offer separate facilities for dogs, cats, and exotics.
Call ahead for reservations, especially during the summer and holiday seasons.
Pickup and Delivery Service
Animal Medical Center now offers pickup and delivery service for your pet. If you have transportation problems or are homebound, please call to make arrangements to have your pet cared for at your convenience.
